A lot of leveling
Chapingo-Poli Blanco…a Match that Anyone Can Win
By Mario VILLAMAR
The blue and silver Chapingo squad, which just two weeks ago made its official debut in college football, will play today in the afternoon, starting at 4 p.m. and on the field of the Estadio Universitario, the match that will decisively mark its path in the 1964 season and, coincidentally, the path of the fall tournament itself.

Both teams are very level playing field; what they do today during regulation time can lead them to victory or defeat. The only certainty as a guess for this game is that both can win, or they can lose.
What Chapingo showed during a debut match against the University “Pumas”, means that before the clash against Poli Blanco, opinions are divided. I have shown it for the Zacatenco squad against its brother institution, Politécnico Guinda, which is the cause of this division.
The two defeated in their first game within the Fall Championship showed opposite situations: Chapingo lost in 3 minutes of bad luck… well, bad luck for them and good, very good for their rivals, the felines of El Pedregal. Poli Blanco was seen to be in error at the right time, losing many advances due to command errors, fumbles and confusion.
Both, now, are obliged to prove that their presentation work deserves praise: Chapingo, confirming the magnificent investment left on the field; Poli Blanco denying their erratic way of playing.
Thus, the leveling of forces shows greater strength. Very good, excellent, the men of the first unit of the “Toros Salvajes”.
Magnificent, on paper, the Zacatenco roster. Both with prospects in each position; Both have running backs, passers, signal callers of positive quality and receivers who at any moment can prove the victory for their colors. As said: both Chapingo and Poli Blanco can take the victory. They both know each other well, both will be able to shuffle their best cards at the right moment.

By obligation, Poli Blanco must come out with flags unfurled. A failure against the “Toros Salvajes” will put him in the same situation as the “Pumas” and that in Zacatenco they do not want to even think about it. Chapingo on the other hand will be in the situation that we anticipated before the beginning of the fall competition: they have everything to win and little to lose, and something tells us that a bold match will be played. In exclusive plays that can give him quick scores.
Seen this way, the match is exciting and even more so if, as can happen, the public sees a good show, something that, above all, the debuting “Toros Salvajes” have proposed to offer them; everything depends on Poli Blanco also coming out with that same purpose.
And may the best man win.
